Senior Engineer – Cloud & Systems

About the role

The Senior Engineer – Cloud & Systems will lead the design, implementation and optimisation of enterprise Windows, virtualization and cloud environments for MEEZA QSTP. You will be responsible for both administrative and functional ownership of critical infrastructure services across on‑premises and Azure hybrid platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and optimise Active Directory, Azure AD (Entra ID), DNS, DHCP, DFS, NTP and Microsoft Failover Clustering.
• Manage VMware clusters (HA, DRS, vMotion) and Azure IaaS/PaaS services including VMs, VM Scale Sets, VNets, VPN/ExpressRoute, Load Balancers, Storage, Backup and Site Recovery.
• Implement Azure security and governance – RBAC, Conditional Access, Azure Policy, Key Vault, Customer‑Managed Keys and Disk Encryption.
• Oversee Microsoft 365 tenant services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive) and security tools such as Microsoft Defender, Intune and SCCM.
• Lead patch management, vulnerability remediation and OS hardening across hybrid platforms, providing L3/L4 support and driving root‑cause analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field.
• 5‑8 years of experience in Windows Server, Azure and VMware environments.
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, VMware VCP and ITIL Foundation.
• Proven ability to mentor engineers, lead technical initiatives and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
