Senior Legal Counsel

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to lead and support our legal activities, ensuring compliance with Qatari law and delivering high‑quality legal advice to our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Follow up with Qatari laws and regulations.
• Research and draft legal reports, regulations, laws, and judgments.
• Attend meetings with clients and provide verbal or memorandum legal advice.
• Review, draft, and re‑draft contracts and agreements.
• Prepare and handle client legal documents for litigation or arbitration.
• Attend and follow up court/arbitration meetings, dates, decisions, and submit necessary memorandums.
• Prepare correspondence, letters, notices, and other legal communications.
• File lawsuits in courts/arbitrations and complaints with police and public prosecution departments.
• Attend court hearings and police investigations, submitting memorandums of defense.
• Register, track, and keep records of hearings, complaints, decisions, judgments, and awards.
• Ensure procedural applications and request forms are completed before hearings.
• Meet client service deadlines and update clients on hearing, complaint status, decisions, and judgments.
• Coordinate with other firm legal counsels on case strategies, status, decisions, and progress.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in law or higher.
• Relevant work experience in legal practice.
• Excellent communication and typing skills.
