Senior Manager, Research & Strategy – Product Development & Design

About the role

The Senior Manager, Research and Strategy will lead the research, insight and strategic planning function for product development and design within Qatar Airways Group. Reporting to senior leadership, you will shape evidence‑based decisions that drive product quality and investment priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a research and insight team, delivering high‑quality analytical outputs that inform senior decision‑making.
• Support senior leaders with strategic planning, business case development and executive‑level presentations.
• Provide commercial fluency through financial modelling, ROI analysis and business case creation.
• Engage with PMO functions, understand governance frameworks and influence planning priorities.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with planning, PMO and operational teams, influencing through insight rather than authority.
• Commission and oversee external research agencies or strategic consultancies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree with at least 10 years of experience in research, strategy, insight or planning; postgraduate qualification is a plus.
• Proven track record managing research or insight functions and delivering analytical outputs that impact senior decisions.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to synthesize multi‑source data.
• Experience leading and developing teams in a demanding environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, capable of translating complex analysis into clear narratives for executive audiences.
• Solid commercial fluency, including financial modelling and ROI analysis.
• Project‑management awareness and ability to work within PMO governance frameworks.
• Cross‑functional collaboration skills and experience influencing peers.
