Senior Network Architect – Intelligent Transportation Systems

About the role

Egis is seeking a Senior Network Architect to lead the design, implementation and optimisation of network infrastructure for large‑scale Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) operation and maintenance contracts across the Middle East. The role ensures ultra‑high availability and performance of complex WAN and LAN environments supporting road and tunnel networks.

Key responsibilities

• Lead architecture and design of scalable, secure ITS and enterprise network solutions.
• Manage SLA compliance and conduct performance analysis and capacity planning to meet 99.999% availability targets.
• Oversee integration of multi‑vendor network management tools such as Huawei e‑Sight, NCE‑T and SolarWinds with asset and alert platforms like IBM Maximo and Mattermost.
• Coordinate with clients, subcontractors and cross‑project teams, handling interface boundaries and tunnel access switches.
• Produce and maintain detailed network topology diagrams, technical reports and baseline surveys in professional English.
• Implement software‑defined networking (SDN), network automation and robust security measures including firewalls and VPNs.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience designing and operating large‑scale WAN/LAN infrastructures for transportation or similar critical sectors.
• Strong track record of meeting strict SLA and availability requirements.
• Excellent technical documentation skills in English.
• Ability to work with multi‑vendor environments and cross‑functional teams.
