Senior Web Developer

About the role

We are a training and consultancy company seeking an ambitious, self‑motivated Senior Web Developer to combine strong IT technical skills with good communication, helping to introduce new solutions to our existing systems and work on internal IT projects such as nobleprog.com and dadesktop.com.

Key responsibilities

• Improve and optimise the end‑to‑end development and deployment process.
• Design and implement new features, guide website architecture, ensure high performance and availability.
• Design and implement deployment and review processes, including static code analysis and security hardening.
• Optimise code for maintainability, resource utilisation and remove redundant or unmaintainable code.

Required profile

• Strong Linux command‑line knowledge and experience in DevOps/development.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, PHP and JavaScript.
• Experience with debugging and profiling tools such as XHProf, Tideways, Python profiling tools.
• Interest in progressing to a manager or team‑lead role.

Required skills

• Front‑end and back‑end/web application development.
• Static code analysis tools (e.g., SonarCube, Deepseek coder).
• Security hardening and code optimisation.
• Experience with BackdropCMS (preferred).
