Site Engineer – Roads Construction

About the role

Parsons is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to lead road construction activities in Qatar. The role involves managing daily site operations, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all road construction works, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with design and construction teams for grading, paving, drainage systems and signage.
• Monitor progress, identify potential delays and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct site inspections to verify quality and adherence to approved designs.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation, including progress, safety and quality control reports.
• Manage site safety, enforcing protocols and minimizing risks.
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers and stakeholders to secure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Assist with testing and commissioning to confirm road components meet functional and quality standards before handover.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum 10 years of road construction supervision experience, including at least 5 years in a site engineering role on large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of road construction standards, codes and regulations.
• Fluent English with excellent communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with project management software such as Primavera and MS Project.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and other civil engineering design tools.
