Software Engineer – E‑Commerce (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a full‑time Software Engineer to join a leading e‑commerce platform. The position is remote and focuses on building scalable backend services that power real‑time user experiences for millions of customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high‑performance backend services in a distributed environment.
• Write clean, efficient, and well‑tested code following industry best practices.
• Profile and optimise system performance, fixing bottlenecks and improving algorithms.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical design sessions.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver features on schedule.

Required profile

• Full‑time remote position.
• New‑grad or early‑career professional (junior level).
• Strong analytical mindset and passion for solving complex technical problems.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Go, Python, or Java.
• Experience with distributed systems, microservices, or cloud‑native development.
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases and performance tuning.
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design principles.
• Hands‑on experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
