Software Engineer – E‑Commerce (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Software Engineer to join a leading global technology company that powers high‑traffic e‑commerce platforms. The position is fully remote and focuses on building scalable backend services that support real‑time user experiences worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain distributed backend services and micro‑services.
• Write clean, efficient, and well‑tested code following industry best practices.
• Profile, debug, and optimise system performance and algorithms.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical design sessions.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to ship features.

Required profile

• New‑grad or early‑career professional with a strong foundation in computer science.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while contributing to a cross‑functional team.
• Passion for solving complex technical challenges at scale.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Go, Python, or Java.
• Experience (or coursework) with distributed systems, micro‑services, and cloud‑native development.
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases and performance tuning.
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design principles.
• Version control with Git and CI/CD pipeline concepts.
