Startup Founder & CEO

About the role

We are looking for a founder and CEO to launch a new B2B business. The position starts as a part‑time, equity‑only role and will become full‑time with a market‑rate salary once the venture generates sufficient revenue or funding.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct early‑stage research, user interviews and market analysis to validate the problem and shape the solution.
• Perform competitor analysis to identify gaps, differentiators and positioning opportunities.
• Define and deliver the first version of the business (service‑led, no‑code or tech‑enabled) with support from the DQventures team.
• Lead early sales efforts: pitch, sell and onboard the first paying customers.
• Iterate quickly using feedback and performance data to refine the offer, pricing and business model.
• If needed, prepare and present fundraising pitches with assistance from the venture‑building team.
• Commit at least 12 hours per week, attend weekly 1:1 strategy calls and take full accountability for the company’s direction and success.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of professional experience, preferably in a leadership role.
• Domain expertise and a strong professional network in a specific industry.
• Proven track record of executing complex projects or launching new initiatives.
• Experience in sales, partnerships or business development is a strong plus.
• Background in product management, operations or service design is a plus.
• Identified a business idea that solves an inefficient process in your sector.
