System Test Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated System Test Manager to lead our testing team and ensure the delivery of high‑quality software products. The role involves planning, coordinating, and overseeing all testing activities, defining effective test strategies, and managing resources to meet project timelines and quality standards, including support during night and after‑office hours when required.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive test strategies, plans, and processes aligned with project requirements and business objectives.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of testers to ensure high productivity, quality, and motivation.
• Collaborate closely with project manager, software manager, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and define testing scope.
• Oversee test execution across functional, regression, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing phases.
• Define, monitor, and report key testing metrics, providing regular updates on progress, quality, and risks to senior management.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to software releases and deployments.
• Manage test environments, tools, and automation frameworks to enhance testing efficiency and coverage.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal quality policies and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 15 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance, with a minimum of 10 years in a managerial role leading end‑to‑end testing for large‑scale projects.
• Experience in large‑scale projects testing and commissioning in the transport/traffic management domain is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Test management tools such as JIRA and TestRail.
• Automation tools including Selenium and UFT.
• Defect tracking systems.
• Performance testing (plus).
