Assistant Director of Sales

About the role

The Assistant Director of Sales will support the Director of Sales & Marketing (DOSM) in driving revenue for La Cigale Hotel, a five‑star luxury property in central Doha. This role focuses on building long‑term, value‑based relationships with corporate, leisure and group clients to achieve the hotel’s sales objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the DOSM in all sales activities, including prospecting, negotiations and contract management.
• Lead and monitor the daily performance of the sales team, ensuring targets are met or exceeded.
• Identify and pursue group and individual business opportunities across travel agencies, tour operators, convention planners and transportation partners.
• Develop and implement profitable, cost‑effective sales programmes aligned with market trends.
• Track competitor rates, offers and market activity to maintain a competitive edge.
• Represent the hotel at trade shows, networking events and industry organisations.
• Prepare annual sales budgets, forecasts and regular performance reports.
• Maintain consistent verbal and written communication with clients and internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience in hotel or hospitality sales, preferably at a supervisory or managerial level.
• Strong ability to build and nurture long‑term client relationships.
• Excellent analytical skills to interpret market trends and sales data.
• Effective leadership and team‑management capabilities.
• Fluent English communication, both written and spoken.
