Assistant In-Room Dining Manager

About the role

The Assistant In‑Room Dining Manager supports the outlet manager in delivering seamless room‑service experiences for guests at Mandarin Oriental, Doha. This role combines operational oversight, guest interaction, and coordination with other hotel departments to maintain the brand’s high service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the outlet manager with order taking, trolley set‑up, and timely delivery of room‑service orders.
• Ensure compliance with all SOPs, quality measures, and corporate policies.
• Coordinate guest amenity placement and minibar operations in partnership with Front Office and Housekeeping.
• Manage resident requests, including ingredient deliveries and in‑apartment catering in liaison with Banqueting.
• Supervise side‑duty schedules and maintain effective tracking of trolleys and trays.
• Foster collaboration between In‑Room Dining, other F&B outlets, and Rooms Division teams.
• Uphold hotel policies on data protection, safe and sustainable practices, and zero‑tolerance harassment.

Required profile

• Proven experience in hotel food‑and‑beverage or room‑service operations.
• Strong understanding of hospitality SOPs, health & safety, and guest service standards.
• Ability to work flexibly across shifts and step in for the outlet manager when needed.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional, ambassadorial attitude.
