Assistant Restaurant Manager

About the role

The Assistant Restaurant Manager supports the Restaurant Manager in delivering high‑quality service within a luxury hotel or premium restaurant environment. This role ensures smooth daily operations, upholds brand standards, and contributes to revenue generation through effective guest engagement and team leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, including service delivery, staffing, and compliance with hotel standards.
• Maintain an active floor presence during service periods, engage with guests, and support the team in meeting service targets.
• Conduct pre‑shift briefings covering reservations, guest preferences, menu updates, promotions, and sales goals.
• Coordinate with the Culinary team and other hotel departments to ensure seamless service, especially for banquet events.
• Manage opening and closing procedures, cash handling, end‑of‑day reconciliation, and completion of operational checklists.
• Monitor equipment, furniture, and supplies for proper use and report maintenance issues.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage Management, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Assistant Restaurant Manager or in a supervisory role within a luxury hotel or high‑end restaurant.
• Proven experience in banquet operations.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and extended hours as needed.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Point‑of‑Sale (POS) systems.
• Experience using restaurant reservation and hotel management systems.
