Assistant Store Manager – Retail

About the role

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in driving store efficiency, customer satisfaction and financial performance for Watsons in Doha.

Key responsibilities

• Lead profit and sales performance, propose strategies to meet targets and run monthly category sales meetings.
• Implement promotional programs for exclusive products and monitor their effectiveness.
• Control expenses, maintain shrinkage below tolerance, and oversee inventory adjustments, GAP and cycle counts.
• Ensure visual merchandising standards, timely restocking and accurate display implementation.
• Handle customer queries and complaints, promote loyalty programmes and achieve conversion targets.
• Support policy communication, brand standards, grooming guidelines and internal controls.
• Manage store documentation, daily reports, banking, refunds and cashiering duties.
• Plan and monitor personal development plans, performance appraisals and employee engagement actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree.
• Minimum 2 + years retail and team‑management experience, preferably in the beauty sector.
• Strong knowledge of beauty industry trends.
• Proven leadership, problem‑solving and customer‑service orientation.
