Conference & Events Coordinator

About the role

The Conference & Events Coordinator joins the Commercial Strategy team at Mandarin Oriental Doha, ensuring a seamless hand‑over of confirmed events from sales to operations and back. You will act as the main point of contact for clients during the planning and execution phases, supporting the sales team and guaranteeing high‑quality service throughout each event.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Commercial Strategy team with daily tasks and broader departmental initiatives.
• Maintain Mandarin Oriental’s grooming and appearance standards to reflect professionalism.
• Follow established conference and events sales administration procedures and client tracking systems.
• Provide prompt, accurate service to clients within operational capabilities.
• Maintain an organized filing system for all event documentation.
• Generate timely reports as requested by management.
• Communicate directly with clients post‑contract, coordinating internal teams and gathering post‑event feedback.

Required profile

• Motivated, confident and professional with a humble attitude.
• Senior school qualifications; degree or Higher National Diploma in Hospitality, Hotel or Business Management.
• Previous experience in the GCC is an advantage.
• Excellent computer literacy and proficiency with standard office applications.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
