Contract Administrator – Oil & Gas Upstream

About the role

The Contract Administrator will oversee upstream oil & gas contracts, ensuring compliance, protecting commercial interests, and supporting efficient project delivery. You will act as the central point of contact for contract-related matters across drilling, well services, EPC, operations, and maintenance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and manage drilling, well services, EPC, operations, maintenance, and consultancy contracts.
• Monitor contractor performance, deliverables, and compliance with contractual terms.
• Review and process variations, change orders, claims, and extensions of time.
• Support tendering activities, commercial evaluations, and contract negotiations.
• Maintain contract records, correspondence, and all contractual documentation.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Legal, Finance, Operations, and Project teams.
• Identify and mitigate contractual and commercial risks.
• Assist in dispute resolution and contract close‑out activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Law, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of contract administration experience in the upstream oil & gas sector.
• Strong background in drilling, production, EPC, and field‑operations contracts.
• Solid knowledge of contract management, claims handling, and commercial negotiations.

Required skills

• Knowledge of FIDIC and oil & gas contract forms.
• Proficiency with SAP, Oracle, or comparable contract management systems.
