About the role

The Controller I acts as the strategic financial business leader for the property, developing and implementing finance and accounting strategies that support the brand’s service objectives and maximize return on investment.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze financial data, market trends, forecast sales versus expenses, and create annual budget plans.
• Monitor actual performance against budgets, identify profit‑improvement opportunities, and recommend cost‑benefit actions.
• Lead and develop the accounting team, ensuring strong internal controls, accurate P&L reporting, and compliance with audit standards.
• Oversee tax compliance, internal, external and regulatory audits, and ensure adherence to SOPs and local operating procedures.
• Communicate financial results and insights to owners, the executive committee, and senior management, supporting strategic decision‑making.
• Coordinate cross‑functional training, orientation, and development plans for finance staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field with at least two years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree in the same fields with no experience required.
• Proven ability to analyze data, develop budgets, and influence business decisions.
• Strong communication and leadership skills to guide teams and interact with stakeholders.
