Cost Management Analyst (Contractor)

About the role

The Cost Management Analyst (Contractor) will support the organization in monitoring, analyzing and managing costs to drive financial efficiency and compliance. Working closely with the Head of Section and Finance Controlling Manager, you will contribute to budgeting, forecasting and cost optimisation initiatives over a 12‑month contract in Qatar.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the focal point for all cost‑management matters within the assigned function.
• Monitor, track and manage daily cost activities and periodic deliverables.
• Prepare the annual financial cost‑management plan, financial models and supporting analysis.
• Develop and maintain procedures, guidelines and frameworks for cost planning, budgeting and financial modelling.
• Analyze historical and forward‑looking cost and inventory balances to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
• Coordinate budgeting, forecasting and reporting activities, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
• Lead monthly cost and inventory review meetings, challenge variances and provide corrective recommendations.
• Drive cash preservation, cost‑optimization initiatives and benchmarking exercises.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in cost management, FP&A, budgeting, management accounting or financial controlling.
• Proven ability to perform cost and inventory analysis, variance analysis and KPI reporting.
