Executive Chef

About the role

The Executive Chef leads all kitchen operations for the Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn properties in Doha, delivering memorable dining experiences for guests across multiple outlets. This senior culinary leader ensures high standards of food quality, safety, and service while fostering a collaborative team environment.

Key responsibilities

• Direct day‑to‑day kitchen activities across both hotels, planning and assigning work to culinary staff.
• Set performance and development goals, provide mentoring, coaching, and regular feedback.
• Maintain accurate costing, inventory control, and documentation for all dishes.
• Train colleagues on brand standards, service behaviours, and governmental regulations.
• Coordinate with other departments to promote teamwork and quality service.
• Recommend staffing actions, disciplinary measures, and HR initiatives in line with company policies.
• Gather guest feedback to continuously improve food quality.
• Assist the Food & Beverage in‑charge with menu planning, table arrangements, and décor options.
• Ensure all menu items are prepared and presented according to established recipes and standards.
• Develop new menu concepts for outlets and catering events, monitoring industry trends.
• Maintain security and safety procedures within the kitchen.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading kitchen operations in a hotel or resort environment.
• Strong leadership and team‑development capabilities.
• Deep knowledge of food costing, inventory management, and menu engineering.
• Ability to train staff on brand standards, service behaviours, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills with other hotel departments.
