Head of Human Resources – Qatar

About the role

The Head of Human Resources for Qatar will join the Country Management Team as the strategic bridge between business units and the HR function. Reporting to senior leadership, you will shape and execute the HR agenda for Qatar, aligning it with the Group HR strategy and local market goals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of HR strategies that support business objectives and enhance organisational capability in Qatar.
• Collaborate with global and regional HR teams to adapt best practices to the local context while maintaining Group policy alignment.
• Oversee talent acquisition, performance management, reward practices, and talent identification to meet current and future business needs.
• Champion diversity, inclusion, and employee engagement programmes to foster a supportive culture.
• Monitor labour market trends and workforce planning, providing proactive solutions.
• Ensure all HR policies and procedures comply with Qatar labour laws and promote ethical treatment of employees.
• Advise on employee relations matters, managing issues fairly and decisively.
• Develop line‑manager capabilities across the bank to improve leadership and team support.

Required profile

• Extensive senior HR leadership experience, preferably within a banking or financial services environment.
• Strong knowledge of Qatar labour legislation and compliance requirements.
• Proven ability to design and execute talent acquisition and talent management strategies.
• Experience partnering with senior business leaders and driving organisational change.
• Track record of promoting diversity, inclusion and employee engagement.
