Housekeeping Coordinator

About the role

The Housekeeping Coordinator ensures smooth daily operations of the housekeeping department in a busy hotel environment. You will act as the link between housekeeping staff, front office, and engineering, guaranteeing that guest rooms are ready and guest requests are handled promptly.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily housekeeping activities and assign tasks to room attendants and supervisors.
• Update room status in the PMS in real time and communicate changes to relevant departments.
• Log and follow up on guest requests, ensuring timely resolution.
• Maintain communication between Housekeeping, Front Office, and Engineering.
• Manage lost‑and‑found items with proper documentation and secure storage.
• Monitor linen, amenity, and supply inventories; assist with ordering and stock control.
• Prepare daily reports on occupancy, room discrepancies, and staff productivity.
• Handle scheduling, attendance tracking, payroll assistance, and other administrative tasks.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
• Support the Executive Housekeeper and Supervisors in daily operations and special projects.

Required profile

• Previous experience in housekeeping or an administrative role, preferably in a hotel.
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
• Positive attitude, professionalism, and teamwork orientation.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hotel PMS systems such as Opera or Oasys.
• Competence in Microsoft Office applications.
