Investment Analyst – Qatarization

About the role

The Investment Analyst will support Doha Bank in managing its investment portfolio, focusing on equity investments that align with the bank’s strategic objectives and Qatarization policy. The role involves analysing market opportunities, conducting due diligence, and assisting in the execution of investment transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and report on potential fund investment opportunities in line with Doha Bank’s investment strategy.
• Provide analytical and operational support to maximise returns from equity investments while managing risk.
• Assist the Portfolio Manager in managing investment expenses, improving accountability and asset transparency.
• Generate deal‑flow and maintain a project pipeline that meets investment criteria and risk budgets.
• Prepare and execute transactions, ensuring quality control and timely fund transfers.
• Liaise with Treasury & Settlement Operations for deal settlement and with finance for accounting information.
• Verify and reconcile outstanding items related to Doha Bank NOSTRO accounts.
• Share knowledge on global best practices and market trends with the team.
• Adhere to audit, compliance and procedural controls, and respond to stakeholder queries.
• Prepare periodic and ad‑hoc reports, and support internal and external auditors.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with experience in equity investment analysis.
• Good understanding of investment risk management and portfolio oversight.
• Ability to conduct due diligence and evaluate partnership synergies.
• Familiarity with transaction processing, settlement procedures and financial reporting.
• Attention to detail and high standards of confidentiality and professional ethics.
