Licensed Aircraft Engineer – Heavy Maintenance B2

About the role

Qatar Airways is seeking a Licensed Aircraft Engineer (Level 1) to perform heavy maintenance on its main fleet. The role involves planning, executing, and releasing maintenance tasks to ensure aircraft are safe, reliable, and ready for flight operations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and carry out assigned heavy‑maintenance activities in line with Qatar Airways procedures.
• Review work procedures, suggest improvements, and ensure compliance with standards.
• Provide final release of work completed by mechanics, guaranteeing dispatch reliability and acceptable defect levels.
• Deliver maintenance tasks to meet company and customer quality standards.
• Implement technical solutions within authority and maintain serviceability schedules.
• Guide and train technicians and aircraft mechanics, supervising workmanship and tool usage.

Required profile

• High school or vocational qualification with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years of experience.
• Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance or equivalent engineering degree (B.Eng., BSc).
• Hold a full Qatar main‑fleet ICAO/QCAA license and approvals.
• Ability to obtain equipment and heavy‑vehicle driving licences as required.
