Senior NDT Technician – MFL & Advanced Tube Inspection

About the role

SGS is seeking a highly skilled Senior Non‑Destructive Testing (NDT) Technician with extensive experience in Magnetic Flux Leakage (MFL) tank inspection and advanced tube inspection techniques. The role involves delivering high‑quality inspection services for storage tanks, pipelines and industrial tubing.

Key responsibilities

• Perform MFL inspections on storage tanks and pipelines.
• Conduct tube inspections using IRIS, ECT, RFT and Eddy Current Array (ECA) techniques.
• Analyze inspection data, identify defects and produce detailed reports compliant with API, ASME and ASTM standards.
• Maintain, calibrate and troubleshoot NDT equipment regularly.
• Collaborate with engineering, QA/QC and maintenance teams to support integrity programs.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of NDT experience, specializing in MFL and tube inspection.
• Relevant certifications (ASNT, PCN, ISO 9712 preferred).
• Strong knowledge of industry standards and codes (API, ASME, ASTM).
• Experience in oil & gas, petrochemical or power generation sectors.

Required skills

• Magnetic Flux Leakage (MFL) inspection.
• IRIS, Eddy Current Testing (ECT), Radiographic Testing (RFT) and Eddy Current Array (ECA) techniques.
• Robotic or semi‑automated inspection system operation.
• Data analysis and reporting software.
