Organizational Development & Workforce Specialist

About the role

The OD & Workforce Specialist will lead organizational development initiatives and manpower planning for Qatar Fabrication Company. This role reports to the Head of Rewards & OD and works closely with all divisions to align workforce strategies with corporate goals.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and update organization structures, job descriptions and competency frameworks.
• Provide advice to management on change, workforce requirements and benchmarking against peer oil & gas shipping companies.
• Coordinate with Learning & Development to link competencies to performance management systems.
• Develop and manage manpower budgets, forecasts and Qatarization targets in partnership with Finance and Recruitment.
• Analyze manpower plan changes, gather justifications and obtain senior management approvals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field.
• 5‑7 years of relevant experience, with at least 3‑5 years in a similar OD/Workforce planning role.
• Prior experience in the Oil & Gas industry and regional exposure is preferred.
• Professional HR certification (e.g., CIPD, PHR, SPHR, CIR, ACIR) is highly desirable.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of organizational development principles and best practices.
• Proficiency with HRM‑ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.
• Experience with statistical analysis and data‑visualisation tools such as Tableau, Python or R.
• Project management capabilities to drive workforce planning initiatives.
