Relationship Manager – Corporate Banking

About the role

HSBC’s Corporate & Institutional Banking International Mid‑Market team in Qatar is seeking a high‑performing Relationship Manager to manage and grow a portfolio of internationally‑focused corporates with revenues from $100 million to over $2 billion. You will act as a trusted advisor, linking clients to HSBC’s global network and a full suite of corporate banking solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Expand existing client partnerships and secure new long‑term relationships aligned with HSBC’s international strategy.
• Provide consultative advice to help clients succeed locally and internationally.
• Identify and engage high‑value prospects within the target market.
• Collaborate with product specialists and international colleagues to deliver tailored solutions and increase share of wallet.
• Own the client experience and support junior colleagues in delivering high service standards.
• Manage credit, operational, regulatory and financial‑crime risks across the portfolio.
• Ensure adherence to internal policies, controls and external regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Experience in corporate banking managing mid‑market or large corporate relationships.
• Proven ability to match client needs with solutions such as Treasury, Trade Finance, FX and lending.
• Strong commercial acumen and awareness of economic and regulatory trends.
• Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Demonstrated capability in commercial lending and risk assessment.
• Client‑centric mindset with a drive to deliver results.
