Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Doha. The role focuses on implementing cost‑management initiatives, strengthening financial controls and ensuring accurate daily accounting operations for our Academy’s activities.

Key responsibilities

• Drive cost‑management strategies and monitor financial risk mitigation.
• Oversee general accounting processes, including journal entries, reconciliations and month‑end close.
• Prepare and process payroll in compliance with local regulations.
• Support internal and external audits and ensure timely submission of required documentation.
• Produce management financial reports and provide analytical insights for decision‑making.
• Maintain accurate records of all accounting transactions and ensure adherence to established procedures.

Required profile

• 6‑10 years of solid experience in accounting, finance or audit.
• Strong business acumen with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Methodical, analytical mindset with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting packages such as Peachtree, Focus or Tally.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
