Senior Retail Manager

About the role

The Senior Retail Manager will lead Qatar Duty Free’s retail operations, focusing on beauty, perfume and cosmetics brands. You will drive sales and profit growth while delivering world‑class customer service across the airport environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop the retail team to achieve sales targets and service standards.
• Oversee day‑to‑day retail operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and exceeding performance benchmarks.
• Contribute to the development and execution of Qatar Duty Free’s marketing strategies, promotional plans and campaigns.
• Plan, forecast and allocate resources to maximise sales and profitability.
• Manage brand concessions, ensuring standards and supplier agreements are met.
• Coordinate promotional programmes, stock levels and visual merchandising.
• Schedule staff according to trading patterns and seasonal demand.
• Recommend space‑management allocations to optimise sales opportunities.
• Handle customer complaints promptly, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
• Liaise with airport agencies to ensure efficient movement of customers, staff and stock.

Required profile

• High School/Vocational/Diploma with at least 9 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with at least 8 years of experience.
• Proven experience in retail management, team development and delivering bottom‑line results.
• Strong background in fast‑paced, customer‑facing environments.
• Good knowledge of the regional business environment and ability to leverage local networks.
