Strategic Planning Expert – 12‑Month Contract (Arabic Speaker)

About the role

EY is seeking a Strategic Planning Expert to join its Doha office on a 12‑month contract. The role focuses on analysing the internal and external strategic environment, shaping the organisation's strategic plan, and ensuring its implementation across all departments.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct SWOT analysis of internal and external factors and develop actionable recommendations.
• Gather and organise information required to build and update the strategic plan and its initiatives.
• Support the preparation and alignment of annual operational plans with the strategic framework.
• Facilitate workshops and communication programmes to raise awareness of the strategic planning process.
• Implement systematic strategy‑management processes (planning, organising, executing, monitoring) and report progress to the department head.
• Monitor unit compliance with the strategic plan, prepare performance reports, and highlight obstacles.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the direct manager.

Required profile

• 7‑12 years of experience in public administration or a comparable field.
• Professional certification in Balanced Scorecard (BSC) and performance indicators.
• Strong knowledge of relevant policies, procedures and regulations.
• Ability to prepare data, extract statistics and produce analytical reports.
• Excellent organisational and planning skills, with the capacity to work under pressure.
• Fluency in Arabic (mandatory) and strong proficiency in English.
