Treasury Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Treasury Specialist to provide high‑level guidance and oversight of cash‑flow forecasting, funding, investment and shareholder distribution proposals for QatarEnergy LNG. The role supports the Head of Treasury in developing procedures, resolving complex issues and ensuring compliance with financing agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Examine and update cash‑flow forecasts across all ventures, providing specialized advice on forecasting and investment management.
• Review and endorse internal funding, investment proposals and shareholder distribution calculations against cash‑flow forecasts, ensuring optimal amounts, tenors and compliance with lender agreements.
• Maintain expert knowledge of local and international banking systems; support the Head in solving integrated treasury problems.
• Facilitate relationships with internal and external stakeholders to expedite information gathering and issue resolution.
• Implement department policies, funding agreements and procedures for effective financial planning and budgeting.
• Optimize bank account structures, propose account consolidations, and recommend strategies to increase account returns.
• Ensure accounting records comply with policies and principles; provide financial analysis of variances from budgets.
• Collaborate with senior management on business and capital spending plans and prepare reports and presentations.
• Interpret financial policies for staff and advise on counterparties for investments and FX transactions.
• Lead development and enhancement of financial systems to improve efficiency and productivity.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
• Internationally recognised professional finance qualification (CFA, CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CMA).
• Minimum 7 years of experience in treasury or finance functions.
• Strong knowledge of banking systems, cash‑flow forecasting and investment management.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
