Senior Building Estimator – Tender Management

About the role

We are looking for a high‑caliber Senior Estimator to lead large‑scale building construction tenders from the initial inquiry through to final submission. The role demands accurate cost assessments, competitive pricing, and strict compliance with client specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of comprehensive cost estimates for major building projects.
• Review and verify Bills of Quantities (BOQ), drawings, and specifications.
• Source, analyze, and negotiate competitive quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Identify commercial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Propose value‑engineering alternatives to optimise project costs without compromising quality.
• Collaborate with procurement, engineering, and senior management during final bid reviews.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of experience in building estimation and tendering.
• Proven track record in the GCC construction market, handling high‑value projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.
• Currently residing in Qatar or able to relocate immediately.
• Certificates ready for Qatar Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) attestation.

Required skills

• Proficiency with advanced estimation software such as Candy and CostX.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
