Applications Analyst (Information Management)

About the role

QatarEnergy LNG is looking for an Applications Analyst (Information Management) in Doha. The role supports business functions and provides detailed IT technical expertise to maintain the applications support environment and resolve day-to-day issues, while meeting operational and project KPIs.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate operational issues, problems and support requests with colleagues and stakeholders, and take action to resolve them.
• Resolve requests by modifying system parameters, setting up workarounds, reconfiguring systems, training users or escalating to systems development staff or software suppliers.
• Monitor the progress of support requests and keep users and stakeholders informed, taking corrective action to avoid delays.
• Produce logical software designs covering processes, objects, data flows, inputs, stored data and outputs.
• Carry out operations, administration and maintenance tasks for business applications, database management systems and related tools.
• Develop, interpret and execute test plans to verify correct operation of completed software.
• Define, document and execute small-scale projects, identifying and managing risks and issues.
• Take part in stakeholder meetings and present issues and solutions.
• Ensure compliance with information security policies and that all work follows required standards and procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, computer engineering or information systems.
• 7 years of IT experience.
• Prior experience with Information Management applications such as Aveva AIM/ISM/Tag Management Solution, Octave SmartPlant Applications (SPF/S3D), Documentum D2 or similar oil and gas applications.
• Experience developing, customizing and integrating business applications, and managing IT application development and implementation projects.
• Experience in an IT applications support environment (ITIL knowledge) and in risk, security and continuity management.
