Business Development Lead - Fintech Partnerships

About the role

A fintech company is looking for an ambitious, results-driven Business Development Lead to drive its expansion in the banking and financial services sector. You will build strategic partnerships, acquire enterprise clients and scale revenue, bridging business and technology by consulting on APIs, SDKs and payment gateway infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and establish partnerships with technology companies, financial institutions, digital platforms and business networks.
• Explore new business avenues, innovative payment solutions and potential revenue streams.
• Collaborate with POS, ERP, SaaS, e-commerce and other technology providers to integrate payment solutions.
• Develop partnerships that bring multiple merchants through referrals, integrations and joint business models.
• Negotiate commercial agreements, coordinate integrations and activate partnerships.
• Monitor partnership performance, merchant acquisition, transaction volumes and revenue.

Required profile

• 3 to 4+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships and new business models within fintech, banking or payments.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science or a related field; MBA or technical background is a strong plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, able to explain complex technical architectures to executives.
• Must be resident in Qatar with a valid residence permit.

Required skills

• Good working understanding of API and SDK integration.
• Deep knowledge of modern payment gateways, open banking protocols, core banking systems and transaction lifecycle processing.
