About the role

The Commis II – Banquet Kitchen supports the banquet and buffet operations at The Ritz‑Carlton Doha, ensuring high‑quality food presentation and service for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare proper plate and platter presentations for banquets.
• Set up and operate action stations for banquet or buffet service.
• Carve buffet meats according to guest requests.
• Maintain adequate stock of all banquet and buffet items.
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers to prepare foods.
• Prepare ingredients, including portioning, chopping and storing.
• Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables.
• Prepare cold foods and test cooked foods for doneness.
• Monitor food quality throughout preparation.
• Set‑up and break down work stations and serve food in proper portions.
• Wash and disinfect kitchen area, tables, tools, knives and equipment.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 2 years of related work experience in a banquet or hotel kitchen.
