General Technician (Hotel Maintenance)

About the role

The General Technician is responsible for carrying out general maintenance, repair, and preventive maintenance tasks throughout the hotel, ensuring all facilities, equipment and systems operate safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily preventive and corrective maintenance across guest rooms, public areas, back‑of‑house and engineering facilities.
• Inspect, diagnose and repair basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical and other building‑related issues.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from hotel departments and guests.
• Assist with troubleshooting and repair of hotel equipment and support energy‑saving initiatives.
• Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in good condition and keep accurate records of work performed.
• Report major defects, equipment failures or safety hazards to the Engineering Supervisor.
• Ensure all work complies with hotel safety, fire and environmental regulations.

Required profile

• Previous experience in hotel maintenance, facilities management or a related technical field (preferred).
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic technical issues.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Physically fit and able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
