HVAC Technician

About the role

St. Regis Hotels & Resorts, part of Marriott International, is hiring a full-time HVAC Technician in Doha West Bay, Qatar. The role covers inspecting, repairing and maintaining HVAC, air quality control and refrigeration equipment, and keeping the mechanical plant running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, repair and maintain HVAC, air quality control and refrigeration equipment, and carry out daily inspections of the mechanical plant.
• Monitor and control property temperature, and monitor and analyse energy and utilities usage.
• Calibrate controls, gauges, meters and other equipment.
• Assemble, install, test, repair and maintain electrical systems or electronic wiring, and assemble, install and maintain pipe assemblies, fittings and valves.
• Perform routine pool and spa maintenance.
• Follow company and safety and security policies, report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents or injuries, and complete safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance, protect confidential information and company assets, and treat guests and colleagues professionally.
• Identify and recommend improvements to efficiency, productivity, quality, safety and cost savings.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
• Some experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation and painting preferred.
• Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance is a plus.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Driver's license required.

The role involves physical work such as reaching overhead and below the knees, moving in confined or elevated spaces, lifting objects up to 100 pounds and performing other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.
