IPTV & Master-Clock Systems Engineer

About the role

Madre Integrated Engineering is hiring a full-time IPTV and master-clock systems engineer in Doha. The role covers diagnostics, incident management, configuration and firmware maintenance, and preventive monitoring of IPTV and time-distribution systems.

Key responsibilities

• Provide advanced diagnostics at system, application and infrastructure level.
• Carry out root-cause analysis for major and recurring incidents and own the permanent fix.
• Open and manage OEM back-to-back support cases under the same ticket and SLA clock.
• Own configuration, firmware and software maintenance, and coordinate manufacturer releases and upgrades.
• Own preventive-maintenance procedures and predictive monitoring.
• Maintain design documents, SOPs and the knowledge base, and mentor and sign off Level-2 competence.
• Assess changes to the system for the Change Advisory Board.
• Maintain encoders, servers, endpoints and signage, and master-clock distribution and synchronisation.

Required profile

• VITEC and Mobatime (or equivalent) product training, and IPTV/AV and time-distribution experience.
• ITIL Foundation certification.
• 4 or more years of hands-on experience with the specific system in a comparable environment.

Required skills

• Deep product knowledge and diagnostic and root-cause analysis skills.
• OEM liaison and documentation and mentoring.
