Lead Engineer – Qatar Executive (Virtual Recruitment Event)

About the role

The Lead Engineer for Qatar Executive is responsible for the serviceability and airworthiness of the fleet, ensuring compliance with QCAA regulations and Qatar Airways standards. The role guarantees that all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance is performed safely, efficiently, and cost‑effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and direct maintenance resources to achieve optimal aircraft availability.
• Manage shift coverage, including leave, training, and sickness, to maintain continuous operations.
• Exercise licensing authority to approve scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, ensuring work meets required standards.
• Issue Certificates of Release to Service in line with TPM, QE, CPM and third‑party procedures.
• Oversee the technical team, ensuring timely defect rectification and resource allocation.
• Advise the Maintenance Manager of potential issues affecting aircraft or cabin system serviceability.
• Review procedures and equipment, proposing improvements for efficiency and safety.
• Collaborate with OEMs, vendors, and suppliers to resolve defects and operational problems.
• Train and develop staff to support succession planning and risk management.

Required profile

• Valid aircraft maintenance license/approval recognized by QCAA.
• Extensive experience in both scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage shift resources.
• Strong knowledge of Qatar Airways maintenance standards and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to communicate with OEMs and suppliers.
