Lighting Designer – Technical & Procurement Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Lighting Designer with strong procurement expertise to bridge technical design and commercial sourcing. You will select luminaires from leading international brands, ensure they meet project specifications, and secure competitive pricing.

Key responsibilities

• Source architectural and decorative lighting products from international manufacturers and suppliers.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations, prepare technical and commercial comparison sheets, and negotiate pricing.
• Review lighting specifications, datasheets, and submittals for compliance.
• Recommend luminaires that balance performance, quality, aesthetics, and cost.
• Perform lighting calculations and assess illumination levels against standards.
• Collaborate with project, engineering, and estimation teams to ensure technical compliance and timely procurement.
• Track purchase orders, material availability, and delivery schedules through to completion.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architecture.
• Solid knowledge of leading international architectural and decorative lighting brands and product ranges.
• Strong technical understanding of lighting calculations, illumination requirements, control systems, and standards.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and supplier management skills.
