Maintenance Supervisor - Residential

About the role

This role monitors all maintenance activities of kitchen appliances at multiple locations so that they run smoothly and are kept properly maintained according to Qatar Airways standards, in a cost-effective and timely way. It is based in Doha, Qatar.

Key responsibilities

• Make periodic inspections of assigned facilities, prepare inspection reports, diagnose problems and take action to extend the life and reliability of the appliances
• Follow up pending appliance maintenance requests and update the system with feedback from the on-site team
• Inspect completed maintenance works, verify they match the scope of work and sign off the completion certificate
• Prepare and follow up on the PAT (portable appliance testing) schedule
• Respond to emergencies and major issues 24/7
• Administer the work of contracted staff, assign tasks and review work in progress
• Review service requests, decide if they can be handled in-house, set priorities and timelines and communicate them to the customer
• Plan labour and material needs for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and give input to the immediate superior and technical document specialist
• Maintain daily records of manpower, materials, stock, tools and equipment usage

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma or equivalent, with at least 5 years of job-related experience
• Experience in hotel/hospitality or facilities management
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritise
• Excellent spoken and written English and polite, patient customer handling
• Strong knowledge of kitchen appliance repair and maintenance
• Valid Qatari or transferable driving licence
• People management and basic leadership skills

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of MS Office and general IT knowledge
