Network Support Airport Services Manager (Qatari Nationals)

About the role

Qatar Airways is recruiting a Network Support Airport Services Manager for its Ground Services Department in Doha. The role ensures safe, secure and cost-effective airport operations at the assigned station, meeting regulatory compliance, operational efficiency and customer-excellence targets. It provides operational and administrative support, quantifies station readiness for new stations and plays a leadership role in keeping operations aligned with best practices, policies, regulations and partnership agreements. The position is open to Qatari nationals.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor operational readiness and identify contingencies when pre-planning is reviewed.
• Liaise with service providers, local airport authorities, government regulators and agencies, and represent Qatar Airways at the airport operations centre.
• Evaluate current operational processes, identify improvement opportunities and assist the manager in quality and cost control of airport operations.
• Assist in developing the business plan and preparing business case studies for projects during the assignment.
• Take part in technical assessments of ground handling, lounge, baggage, de-icing and fuel services, and recommend service providers.
• Raise sourcing requests and coordinate the launch of new stations, including start-up kits and a Local Emergency Response Plan.
• Act as acting Station Airport Services Manager when the post is temporarily vacant, and perform other duties directed by the Head of Department.

Required profile

• High school, vocational, diploma or bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience.
• Fluent English and excellent communication skills.
• Managerial ability to delegate, set direction and manage workflow.
