Sales Assistant - Retail

About the role

Ace Hardware in Doha Festival City is looking for a Sales Assistant. The role keeps the store tidy and shoppable, improves the customer experience through good service and product knowledge, and supports sales targets with effective selling techniques. It also covers point-of-sale operation, stock management and merchandising to uphold the store's corporate image.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high-quality internal and external customer service, advise customers on products and proactively engage them in-store.
• Operate the point-of-sale system accurately, following cash-handling procedures.
• Learn product uses and benefits, apply merchandising principles after training, and keep assigned departments clean and organised.
• Help receive deliveries, display goods and follow pricing and ticketing procedures.
• Support stock take events, new store openings, product launches and seasonal rollouts.

Required profile

• Secondary school education.
• At least 2 years of experience in a retail environment.
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality customer service.

Required skills

• Superior customer service and strong product knowledge.
• Competence in operating point-of-sale systems with high precision.
• Ability to maintain store standards through cleaning and merchandising.
