Senior Legal Specialist

About the role

The Senior Legal Specialist will be accountable for reviewing, analysing, drafting and negotiating complex contracts for Qatar Airways Group. The role provides business‑oriented legal advice and acts as the Group Legal point of contact for selected user departments.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate, draft and implement a wide range of simple and complex commercial agreements.
• Develop and manage strategic contracts in line with corporate and legal requirements.
• Review, draft and negotiate contracts with suppliers and service providers.
• Provide high‑quality analysis, negotiation and drafting of contracts and identify escalation needs.
• Resolve disputes and suggest improvements to contracting processes.
• Offer legal interpretations on standard terms and conditions.
• Support the Head of Department with additional duties as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with at least 8 years of relevant experience.
• Admission as a lawyer in a recognised jurisdiction.
• Experience in a law firm or dedicated legal environment.
• Fluent English speaking and writing skills.
• Strong legal drafting and commercial negotiation abilities.
• Ability to understand complex vendor contracts and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Word.
• Excellent attention to detail and presentation skills.
