Senior QAQC Electrical Engineer

About the role

The Senior QAQC Electrical Engineer oversees electrical quality assurance and quality control for survey-enabled engineering and construction projects, ensuring compliance with Qatar's codes, client specifications and Redlink Group's standards. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Lusail.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review electrical QAQC plans, inspection and test plans (ITPs), method statements and checklists for power distribution, lighting, grounding and associated systems.
• Conduct site inspections, witness tests and verify installation quality.
• Coordinate with project managers, design teams and contractors to resolve non-conformities.
• Maintain documentation for approvals, audits and handover, including test reports, as-built records and compliance certificates.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians and support continuous improvement of QAQC processes.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in electrical QAQC for infrastructure, industrial or large-scale construction projects, including inspections, testing and documentation.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline; professional certification or membership in a recognised engineering body is preferred.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards (e.g. IEC, NEC, local Qatar regulations) applied to LV/MV systems, grounding and protection schemes.
• Proficiency with electrical drawings and documentation (single-line diagrams, schematics, load schedules, as-builts) and coordination with CAD/BIM teams.
• Experience with QAQC tools such as ITPs, NCRs, corrective and preventive actions, audits and quality reporting.
• Familiarity with geospatial or survey-supported projects (3D laser scanning, LiDAR, GIS, scan-to-BIM) is an advantage.
