Test & Commissioning Manager - Smart City

About the role

The Test & Commissioning Manager plans, manages and executes testing and commissioning for smart city software platforms and their field hardware deployments. The role leads internal testers and external vendors so that integrated systems are delivered on time, meet quality standards and comply with technical and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and run test and commissioning strategies for smart city applications, platforms and site hardware, and plan SIT, UAT and SAT
• Define test plans, test cases, procedures and acceptance criteria, and validate software, hardware, network and IoT integrations end to end
• Lead and mentor testers and commissioning engineers, coordinate third-party vendors and system integrators, assign tasks and track progress
• Oversee testing of smart city apps (building management, traffic management, surveillance, lighting, utilities, parking, command and control, analytics dashboards) and commissioning of sensors, cameras, controllers, communication devices and edge equipment
• Ensure seamless integration between field devices, backend systems and cloud platforms
• Identify defects, risks and non-conformities, work with development, deployment and operations teams to resolve them, and ensure compliance with specifications, safety standards and regulations
• Prepare commissioning reports, test results, punch lists and sign-off documents, and give regular status updates to project managers and senior stakeholders

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, IT or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in testing and commissioning, system integration or large-scale technology projects
• Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and external vendors
• Preferred: experience on government or municipal smart city projects, and familiarity with cloud platforms, SCADA, GIS, CCTV or IoT frameworks
