Typhoon Mechanical Operator

About the role

The Typhoon Mechanical Operator will join the Base Maintenance Facility team, reporting to the Mechanical Junior Supervisor. This role focuses on detailed maintenance and inspection of Typhoon aircraft mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory and organisational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform detailed maintenance, inspections, repairs, modifications and functional tests on Typhoon mechanical systems.
• Follow approved technical data and work packages to resolve faults and maintain configuration control.
• Document all maintenance actions, update airworthiness records and raise work cards for any found faults.
• Maintain personal task authorisation in line with QAF requirements and report progress against delivery targets.
• Support base‑maintenance activities such as tooling control, oversight checks and compliance with MOE procedures.

Required profile

• Experienced mechanical technician with proven work on Typhoon aircraft.
• Strong understanding of approved data sets and regulatory maintenance frameworks.
• Ability to follow diagnostic procedures and work effectively within a team.
• Proactive, flexible attitude and capability to take direction appropriately.
• Maintain a personal log book and demonstrate currency through on‑the‑job training.
