About the role
The Waiter will deliver food and beverage service in a timely, courteous manner, ensuring each guest feels delighted and satisfied throughout their visit.
Key responsibilities
- Understand and verbally explain the outlet’s concept and menu offerings to guests.
- Maintain mise en place and ensure cleanliness of front and back of house before and during service.
- Operate the point‑of‑sale (POS) system to process orders, gift cards and non‑cash payments.
- Serve guests efficiently, up‑sell products, and ensure dishes are presented according to hotel standards.
- Handle billing, cash handling and cashiering procedures in line with hotel policies.
- Conserve equipment and utensils through proper daily handling.
- Comply with all corporate, hotel and MOHG policies, including data protection, safe‑sound‑sustainable practices and zero‑tolerance harassment standards.
- Support learning and development activities and undertake additional duties as requested by management.
Required profile
- Good understanding of food and beverage offerings and the ability to explain them to guests.
- Friendly, courteous and efficient attitude with a strong focus on guest satisfaction.
- Willingness to work shift‑to‑shift and follow standard operating procedures.
- Commitment to uphold hotel policies, safety standards and confidentiality.
Required skills
- Operation of a point‑of‑sale (POS) system.
- Cash and non‑cash transaction handling.
- Basic knowledge of food presentation standards.
- Proper handling and conservation of restaurant equipment.
