Assistant Store Manager - Watsons Qatar

About the role

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager at a Watsons store in Qatar, ensuring store efficiency and customer satisfaction. The role covers sales strategy, expense management and inventory control, and drives store performance toward financial targets while meeting retail standards.

Key responsibilities

• Sales: lead and evaluate sales performance, run monthly category sales meetings, implement exclusive product programmes and optimise store expenses
• Inventory: oversee displays and restocking, manage GAP and cycle counts, and keep shrinkage below tolerance levels
• Customer service: handle queries and complaints, promote loyalty programmes and drive conversion through selling techniques
• Operations: support the store manager in applying policies, brand standards and SOPs, liaise with mall management and perform cashiering duties
• Team: help plan and monitor development plans, review performance appraisals of direct reports and implement engagement action plans

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree
• 2+ years of retail and team management experience, preferably in the beauty sector
• In-depth knowledge of the beauty industry and trends
• Strong communication, empathy and customer service orientation
• Leadership, problem-solving and integrity, with a proactive attitude
