Service Advisor - Trucks & Buses

About the role

FAMCO Qatar, part of Al-Futtaim Automotive, is looking for an experienced Service Advisor to join its aftersales team in Doha. The role acts as the main point of contact between customers and the workshop, coordinating service and repair activities, keeping customers informed and supporting the team in delivering a professional aftersales experience. The position reports to the Service Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome customers and understand their vehicle service, maintenance and repair needs.
• Open job cards and record customer concerns, vehicle details and requested work accurately.
• Coordinate with technicians and the workshop team so work is scheduled and completed properly.
• Explain repairs, estimated costs and expected completion times, and obtain customer approval for additional work.
• Keep customers informed of progress and delays, and review completed work before handover.
• Prepare estimates, invoices and other service documentation.
• Follow up with customers to confirm satisfaction and address outstanding concerns.
• Support customer satisfaction, workshop productivity and aftersales revenue targets, and maintain accurate records in line with company processes, safety requirements and manufacturer standards.

Required profile

• Diploma or technical qualification in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Previous experience as a Service Advisor for commercial vehicles, trucks, buses or heavy equipment.
• Practical understanding of vehicle diagnosis, preventive maintenance and repair procedures.
• Experience in an authorised dealership or structured aftersales environment is preferred.
• Good written and spoken English; knowledge of the Qatar market and a valid Qatar driving licence are an advantage.

Required skills

• Strong customer-handling, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Good computer skills and experience with workshop or dealer management systems.
• Ability to explain technical concerns simply, plan and follow up on multiple jobs at once, and spot additional service opportunities.
