Avionics Junior Supervisor

About the role

The Avionics Junior Supervisor will lead a team of avionic technicians in performing detailed maintenance, inspection and fault‑resolution activities on aircraft electric bay components. Reporting to senior management, the role combines hands‑on technical work with supervision and guidance of less experienced staff.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out detailed maintenance and inspection of air electric bay components in line with approved work packages and technical data.
• Supervise personnel executing maintenance instructions, ensuring compliance with the organisation’s regulatory framework.
• Analyse and diagnose equipment faults, follow diagnostic procedures and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain personal task authorisation and adhere to QAF (Quality Assurance Framework) requirements.
• Report progress against delivery targets and raise ad‑hoc work cards for any faults found.
• Document all maintenance actions and update airworthiness records in both IT and paper systems.
• Maintain a personal logbook to demonstrate currency and, where authorised, sign off other personnel’s logbooks.
• If an approved assessor, authorise task competency and review Pt 145 licence application packs.

Required profile

• Experienced avionic technician with a solid understanding of the Typhoon approved data set.
• Competent to supervise maintenance personnel and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Strong analytical ability to diagnose faults and propose solutions.
• Proactive, flexible attitude and ability to work effectively within a team.
• Familiarity with configuration management and QAF procedures.
